Forging Ahead! Top 16 in State!

Congratulations, once again, Spartans! Boys take 3 points over Flowery Branch and move on in state competition. We await word on the next match, which will likely be against Dunwoody. (phew! short drive) In the meantime, Spartan Bowl is this weekend 4/25 from 11-2 at Stars and Strikes.

Coming soon is our Celebratory Tennis Banquet. Parents are still working on a location that meets our needs. Tamara Schwartz has provided the link for the volunteer sign up for our big event on April 30 from 5:30 - 7:00. The date and time were chosen to accommodate the coaches' needs. Parents and players, we are hopeful that many of you will be able to attend.

The season continues!

Congratulations to the boys for their efforts at regionals. Jordy, Josh, and Andrew/Langston secured the 3 points needed to advance. The team was defeated by Cambridge so then played Riverwood to determine their seed going into state competition. On yet another break between rain showers, North Springs defeated rival Riverwood to take the higher seed in state competition.

Coach Lee indicates the team is trying to get a match scheduled for Wednesday at Flowery Branch HS. This is a link to map instructions: FLOWERY BRANCH

Congrats Spartans!

It seems we have survived the Spring of No Sunshine with the Boys' Team advancing to the Regional Tournament. Going in ranked #3 means our team will compete against Sequoyah. More information about logistics and food (yes, food) will be forthcoming.

Girls gave it 150% this season and continue to build a strong team. A HUGE thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time setting up and cleaning up, buying snacks, water, food and more. Our season is not quite over yet. We still have some work to do to fill the coffers for next year's team (yes - fundraising!), as well as talk about how to thank our incredibly supportive coaching staff.

At the end of April is the Spartan Bowl event. We need to send a team to compete for the prize money. Please contact one of the team captains if you can help out on 4/25.

Enjoy some photos from Senior Day! Special thanks to Lisa and Eddie Saltzberg, Jody Yanovich, Coach Lee and the Steins for the party decor, food, atmosphere and flowers! You really made the day special for our graduates.

February's Spartan Athlete of the Month: Jordan George'15 - is an outstanding Spartan athlete. He co-captains the North Springs Varsity Tennis team and as the tennis season opens, he is undefeated. "Jordy", a senior ranked in the top 100 players in the state, sets a great example for the new tennis freshmen. He plays #1 singles for North Springs and has chalked up several wins so far!

Mid-Season

We are half-way through the season, and have had some tough matches in-region, as expected.

MONDAY: Girls at home, boys away. According to the Forsyth Central athletic site, they play their matches at Central Park: 2300 Keith Bridge Rd, Cumming, GA 30040. This is a significant drive for us but is a lovely facility.

WEDNESDAY: Boys at home against Sprayberry

THURSDAY: Boys at home against Kell, girls away 4770 Lee Waters Rd, Marietta, GA 30066

If you have any photos from recent matches, please share on Google so we can post them on the blog!
